The HONEY UPDATE that you have all been asking about: The bees have been busy bringing in a harvest mostly from apple blossoms and strawberry blossoms this time of year. We lost a hive last fall and we lost another this spring which we feel pretty bad about. We ordered new bees this past winter but our order was unable to be filled because of the bee shortage in the USA. There has been a big jump ...in demand for honey from the farm as people are realizing the great health benefits that our bees can offer. So, we have been doing our best to keep up with demand but finding our new pollinators to add to the bee family has been real tough. Never before have I witnessed us run out of honey; as harvests would over-lap each other so product was always on the shelf. I spoke with our "bee man" and he said to spread the message to you all that he is waiting another week or so on collection. The bees are working hard for all of us, they are so important to our ecosystem here on the farm and we will all need to sit back and wait for the workers to get their first harvest prepared for collection!
